Welcome to ‘Decoding Dimensions: Algebraic Geometry & Number Theory Unveiled,’ a long-term program hosted at IPM’s School of Mathematics. This program explores the captivating fields of Algebraic Geometry and Number Theory. For a description of the program, click here. We’ve also posted a poster of the program here for a quick overview (this is the original poster, from 2023). Stay tuned to this space for updates and communications about the program. Interested in joining us on this academic journey? Register or inquire by dropping an email at agnt @ ipm.ir. Together, let’s unravel the mysteries of algebraic geometry and number theory!
During the Winter-Spring Semester of 2025, we offer the following courses. Here is the poster for the Winter-Spring semester of 2025. To get more details, including the class schedule and additional information, we kindly invite you to reach out to the respective group organizer. They will be more than happy to assist you with any inquiries:
- Algebraic Geometry III (Mohammad Hadi Hedayatzadeh, hadi @ ipm. ir)
- Algebraic Number Theory (Shayan Gholami, shayan.3.4.7.8 @ gmail .com)
- Class Field Theory (Ehsan Shahoseini, shahoseini @ ipm. ir)
- Essentials (Mohammad Hadi Hedayatzadeh, hadi @ ipm. ir)

We are also hosting monthly introductory seminars on Algebraic Geometry and Number Theory as part of the program. Please head over to the News page for the latest updates and details about the upcoming seminars. These seminars are designed to provide a basic understanding of the fundamental concepts and topics in Algebraic Geometry and Number Theory.
During the seminars, you will have the opportunity to learn from experts in the field who will guide you through various topics. Whether you are a novice or have some prior knowledge in these areas, these seminars will cater to all levels of understanding, and you will find these sessions to be enriching. You will also have the opportunity to interact with fellow attendees, ask questions, and engage in discussions during the sessions.
In the past three semesters, we offered the following courses:
- Galois Theory (Ali Akbar Hosseini)
- Commutative Algebra I (Mohammad Hadi Hedayatzadeh)
- Algebraic Number Theory (Shayan Gholami)
- Elliptic Curves and Modular Forms (Ali Partofard)
- Algebraic Geometry I (Mohammad Hadi Hedayatzadeh)
