Welcome to the Algebraic Geometry reading course, which is part of the Decoding Dimensions program on Algebraic Geometry and Number Theory.
The class is scheduled for Wednesday, from 1 pm to 3 pm (Tehran time). There is also an exercise session.
I will be sharing the weekly reading material and exercises on the News page. All class-related communication and updates will also be posted there. So, please stay connected…
Our main reference for this course will be Q. Liu‘s Book [AG] Algebraic Geometry and Arithmetic Curves. Please check the errata of the book on Liu’s website! Note that this is the third semester of our graduate course on algebraic geometry. In the first part of the course, we covered the first four chapters of Liu’s book.
Additionally, here is a list of other resources. We may occasionally refer to these books and use them for homework assignments:
- [H] R. Hartshorne, Algebraic Geometry
- [GW1] U. Görtz, T. Wedhorn, Algebraic geometry I. Schemes
- [GW2] U. Görtz, T. Wedhorn, Algebraic geometry II. Cohomology of Schemes
- [V] R. Vakil, Foundations Of Algebraic Geometry
- [EH] D. Eisenbud, J. Harris, The Geometry of Schemes
- [SP] Stacks Project, {0ELP} Schemes
